My kids (7, 5 and 4) have been playing with AI since as early as I fell in love with it.

In 2023, we began doing experiments at home using AI. Simple things like:

• Creating colouring books with their favourite characters

• Generating quiz's about topics they're learning at school

• Using AI to help with homework

The most fascinating experiment began when we started using Chat GPT's Dall-E for image generation. I would upload my children's photo as a reference and then augment different scenes in a Pixar style.

It blew their mind! 🤯

We decided we would try and turn this into a fun tool that other kids could also use. So we came up with the name...

"teenietales"

Now, whenever the kids want to work on AI they don't even say AI - they say "Daddy, can we do teenietales?"

I love it!

I started tinkering with some AI workflows over the holidays and the results really took me by surprise, and speaks to the pace at which this tech is developing.

All of the tools used to generate photos and videos like this are readily available.

But I want to take it a step further: What if kids could create their own version of Disney?

• Personalised stories

• Narrations trained on parent's voices

• Feature in stories with siblings/friends

• Feature in stories with their favourite movie characters

• Buy physical versions of storybooks

The list is endless...

And so the journey begins - and I'm going to be sharing every part of the process with you so you can see how I think about new product ideas and the steps we take to bring them to life!
